The practical demonstration is the subject. Failures are material, not something to hide: an experiment that only ever succeeds has not been tested.
THE CHECKPOINT
OPERATOR REQUIRED is a state before it is a name. It is what a system reports when the next step cannot be taken without a person: the run is fine, the evidence is fine, and a human still has to decide.
The gate is that pause drawn — two bars held open between brackets. Automation pauses for human authorization.
